Applying Ethics: Business Continuity and Succession Planning:

Rod Burylo will discuss the topics of business continuity and succession planning for advisors from an ethics perspective. The guidance and expectations set by FP Canada and IAFP in code of ethics, practice and planning standards regarding these topics will be identified and applied to various related behaviours and considerations. Burylo will present the argument that advisors, and the organizations in which they work, have an ethical obligation to address the risks of sudden, unexpected or planned disruptions that may result in a discontinuance of service to clients. Best practices will be identified when addressing this obligation. This session will provide one hour of required ethics continuing education credit of CFP and RFP designation holders.
