Jason Yee

Jason is a thorough collaborator who brings a diverse mix of multi-discipline knowledge when getting things done. After completing the CFA Program, the focus of Jason’s work became investment analysis and financial planning for individuals. Prior to that, Jason had a 16 year career as a Professional Engineer. Jason had a number of technical and leadership roles managing the operations at a variety of industrial facilities.

Jason is an advice-only financial planner and he dedicates a lot of research effort to the Canada Pension Plan. In particular, he has spent a lot of time understanding the mechanics of CPP rules, and performing CPP calculations. Jason has developed a variety of analytical methods for CPP calculations, and he provides estimates of the Year’s Maximum Pensionable Earnings for the year ahead at ympe.ca.

Jason is also dedicated to making the CPP easier to understand. Jason’s Canada Pension Plan animated videos simplify the complexity about the CPP by using analogies and creative visuals.
