Biography
Natasha Knox is Principal for Alaphia Financial Wellness Inc., a boutique fee-for-service financial planning firm centered around holistic financial wellness where she incorporates financial therapy in her practice to help people think, feel, communicate, and behave better around money.
She is also the Founder of a fintech app currently under development. The purpose of the app is to democratize access to emotional and financial wellbeing, so that those most in need of the service are able to access it affordably.
Natasha has several professional designations, including Certified Financial Planner
Professional, Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner, and Certified Financial Behavior Specialist. Additionally, she holds a graduate Certificate in Financial Therapy from Kansas State University, and she is level two trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) through the Internal Family Systems Institute (level 1), and Intimacy from the Inside Out (level 2). IFS is the primary modality that she uses to help clients with the emotional side of money.
She has written articles published in the Globe and Mail and Forbes, and has been a guest on Good Morning America, Global TV and CBC news radio in Canada. She has been featured and quoted in a number of national publications in Canada and the US including CNBC, Business Insider, Vox, the Financial Post and more.
Community participation and service form part of her core value system. She served for six years on the board of directors of the Financial Therapy Association in a variety of roles including 2024 Conference Chair for the highly successful conference in San Diego, Business Development Chair where she conceived and implemented the framework for the experiential workshop offerings in financial therapy to bridge theory and practice. The Financial Therapy Association is a transdisciplinary association dedicated to the advancement of mental, financial, and relational well-being. Currently, she is a provincially appointed director to the Douglas College Board, where she serves as Chair, as well as serving on the finance and audit committee for the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
