Biography
Linda Cartier is a Certified and Registered Financial Planner (CFP) and (R.F.P.), and a Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist with the Advanced Accreditation (CFDS-AA). She also has the Financial Dispute Resolution Financial (FDRP-Fin), Professional Retirement Planner (PRP) and Enhanced Lifestyle Planner (ELP) designations.
Linda operates the Academy of Financial Divorce Specialists, the Canadian organization that trains accredited financial professionals across our country for the Chartered Financial Divorce Specialist (CFDS®) designation.
Beside the Institute of Advanced Financial Planners, (IAFP), she belongs to the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals, and the Sudbury Collaborative Practice Group.
Linda has taught the complete courses to achieve the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) training program at Cambrian College, the local community college and helped institute a financial planning program at Laurentian University. She has presented for the IACP, OACP, FDRIO, IAFP, CPA Ontario, CE-Credits Now, BPW Canada, United Steelworkers of America and a few other financial organizations.
As an author, Linda has written a monthly column in the local newspaper, hosted two TV series on financial topics and written Divorce 101. She was selected as Woman of the Year in 1998 by the local Business and Professional Women’s Club. As well, Linda was voted National Financial Planner of the Year in 2000 by the Canadian Association of Financial Planners
Besides assisting clients and other professionals in the financial realm, she is an active community member as a lifelong volunteer serving on local boards in her community.
